Motiva LTD (United Kingdom) operates the Motiva Groove Platform and acts as the data controller.

2. Information We Collect

Account and contact details
Stripe Identity verification records (status, verified name, time and IP address — not the ID document)
Uploaded content metadata
Analytics, performance, and cookie data

3. Why We Use Your Data

To verify user identity and prevent fraud
To operate and improve the Platform
To process payouts and maintain tax compliance
To communicate important updates and service information

4. Data Sharing

We only share data when necessary:

Stripe for payment and identity verification
Digital stores and streaming platforms — your release files and metadata are delivered to them through our distribution infrastructure, for distribution and monetization
Email services (Resend) for communication

We never sell user data.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. The period depends on the type of data:

Account and release data — while your account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed to complete outstanding payouts, takedowns and store reconciliation.
Payout, payment and tax records — for the period required by applicable financial, accounting and tax law.
Identity verification records — Stripe Identity handles and stores the identity document itself; we do not keep our own copies of passport or ID images. We keep the verification record (verification session reference, status, verified name, time and IP address) for as long as we may need it to show that verification took place.
Agreement acceptance records — for the duration of the contractual relationship, and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Where a dispute, claim, investigation or legal hold is ongoing, we may keep the relevant data until it is resolved. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

6. International Transfers

Data is processed under UK GDPR. For non-UK users, data transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards.

7. Data Security

All transmissions use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Stripe Identity handles and stores ID documents securely; Motiva LTD stores only the verification record described in section 5, in private storage.

8. Your Rights

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting info@motivagroove.com.
